HAPPY CINDO DE MAYO!
A celebration to commemorate the Mexican Army’s unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla. So basically it’s the day of drinking margaritas! Check out my favorite ways to make this delicious celebratory cocktail! Cheers to the win Mexico!
CLASSIC MARGARITA:
1 1/2 ounces tequila silver
1 ounce Cointreau (orange liqueur)
3/4 ounce freshly lime juice
lime wedge and salt for rim
Shake and serve!
MANGO MARGARITA:
1 ripe mango, cubed
1 cup orange juice
the juice of 2 small limes
3 ounces silver tequila
1 ounce Cointreau (orange liqueur)
Blend and serve!
BLACKBERRY MARGARITA:
On low heat melt 1 cup of sugar into 1 cup of water and 1 cup of blackberries. This will create a blackberry simple syrup for your margarita.
1/2 cup blackberry simple syrup
2 tbls fresh lime juice
8 ounces Cointreau (orange liqueur)
8 ounces silver tequila
Shake and serve!
PEACH MARGARITA:
6 peaches peeled and cut into chunks
1/4 cup fresh orange juice
1 cup silver tequila
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
1/2 cup Cointreau (orange liqueur)
Blend and serve!
