Make ahead cranberry sauce made with Young Living Essential Oils!
For this recipe you need about 15 minutes and these simple ingredients.
2 bags of fresh cranberries
1 cup of sugar
1 cup water
1 orange for the juice and the zest
Young Living Cinnamon Bark Vitality Oil
(if you do not have vitality oil you can replace this with 2-3 dashes of ground cinnamon)
In a medium sauce pan mix together your sugar and water, put this on high heat.
Wash berries while sugar is dissolving, once it comes to a boil measure out 4 cups of berries and mix into sugar and water mixture. Reduce heat to a simmer with a lid on for 10 minutes.
While your waiting on the cranberries you can zest your orange, zest half of the orange and add this plus the juice of half the orange to the pot.
I always add cinnamon into my recipe it just adds that extra layer of flavor you need. This year I am going to add Young Living Cinnamon Bark Vitality oil, just 1 drop instead of the ground cinnamon.
The flavor is amazing! I am so glad I added the essential oil! It gives the recipe that traditional cranberry sauce taste. It’s perfect to round out all of the flavors!
I placed my cooled cranberry sauce into two mason jars. This is the perfect way to travel with your thanksgiving contribution. You can leave it behind with your host and not have to worry about you dishes being left behind, and it’s as easy as screwing off the lid and serving it right from the jar!
