Halfway there and ready to share. We’ve been keeping a little secret and I’m sharing all the details with you now.
Surprise we’re having a baby! I have been waiting to share the news with you all, and now feel ready to. I’m 21 weeks, due October 2019 and my husband and I could not be more excited to add a 4th member to our family! Sebastian, our dog is #3 of course.
We have always known that we wanted to be parents, and to be honest we have been waiting for the “right” time to start our family. There are so many factors to consider when starting a family, but the biggest factor was just feeling comfortable enough with the notion that I will be responsible for the growth of a child. I knew I would have my husband by my side the entire time, but being pregnant was my job. I have to say it’s a lot of pressure on a women as we are doing 90% of the work here! I would think to myself, 9 months isn’t a short amount of time, and there’s nothing you can do if you don’t love being pregnant. I was worried I would feel uncomfortable everyday, or be scared, or sick. Pregnancy was the unknown to me, and I built in up in my head as some massively challenging thing that would totally change my personality and world. Well I was so wrong, I’m still me, I can walk and talk and hang with my friends, I can go to the gym, and online shop, and go out to lunch, and take a vacation, and laugh and do everything just like I normally would!
Don’t get me wrong, I know there are things in my life that will change. I know my world will be devoted to raising a child, and I couldn’t be more excited to meet this baby and be a mom. Yes, maybe i’m not living life exactly the same. I don’t do as many lunges at the gym, I don’t eat sushi, or have a glass of wine, and no I haven’t had a slice of pepperoni pizza in months, but that’s ok! When you know that the health of your child depends on you there is nothing in the world that can shake that.
We are so excited for the next chapter in our lives to start and I can’t wait to share so much more with you all about Baby Roach and my journey!
