Irish Soda Bread Scones

We decided to change it up this year and go with an Irish soda bread scone versus the typical soda bread. I’m so glad we did it because these are amazing!

The perfect breakfast treat. We ate ours just slightly cooled topped with this yummy drizzle and they were incredible. This is the recipe I used, but I changed a few things in it. I used raisins instead of currant, and added half the zest of an orange to the batter, and the other half of the zest to the drizzle topping. I also used Kerry gold butter which makes all the difference in baking, and used dairy free milk versus the buttermilk. Happy baking! Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!
